CROP AND WEATHER REPORT

 

 

KENYA

West of the Rift, Kericho reported wet conditions recording 116.6mm precipitation while Bomet reported reduced rainfall at 55mm and Nyamira/Kisii received 64mm. Temperatures averaged 24C maximum and 14C minimum. Nandi received more rainfall recorded at 164mm(weekly total 2296.9mm) with temperatures averaging highs of 23C and lows of 12C. In East of the Rift, there was more rainfall recording 141mm, 111mm, 110mm and 102mm in Kiambu, Muranga/Nyeri/Kirinyaga, Embu/Meru and Areas around the Aberdares respectively. Temperatures averaged 24C maximum and 14C minimum.

EAST USAMBARA

 Overcast conditions persist with increased precipitation recorded at 106.10mm; temperatures averaged maximum 30C and minimum 17C.

WESTERN UGANDA

The teas growing areas of Fort Portal and Bushenyi continue to receive useful precipitation recorded at 98.9mm and 70.5mm respectively but waned to 36.8mm in Hoima with only 9mm in Kibale.  Temperatures averaged maximum 28C and minimum 17C.
